Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) battery implantation is an advanced medical procedure used to treat chronic neuropathic pain resulting from failed back surgery syndrome (FBSS) or peripheral neuropathy. The procedure involves implanting small electrodes near the spinal cord, connected to a small device (battery) implanted under the skin. This device sends mild electrical pulses that modify pain signals before they reach the brain, significantly reducing pain perception.
